At Montessori de Oro, you will discover the excitement, challenge, and energy that is
uniquely ours- and an environment that encourages risk and rewards exploration. Located
on three separate campuses, we work as one school in the pursuit of excellence.

MDO inspires the very best in you!
Montessori de Oro continues into the new millennium with the same holistic philosophy of
student development which integrates the moral, ethical, social, and intellectual growth and
development of its students through numerous co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
As a community, it nurtures the human diversity of its student body through the celebration of
multi-cultural events.

Activities And Organization
A very diverse and holistic assortment of academic and social activities enhance student life on
the MdO campus. Information on rules and regulations pertaining to scheduling, financing, and
supervising activities may be obtained from the Student Council Association or the Office of the
Student Affairs. All student organizations must officially register through the Office of the Student
Affairs.

Student Council Association
The Student Council  Association (SCA) of Montessori de Oro is the premier student organization
on campus. It is the hub of student governance for all officially recognized student organizations.
Operating under the authorities vested in it through its Constitution and Bylaws, it has the unique
responsibility to hold annual campus-wide elections, facilitate student-sponsored activities,
regulate and sanction all student organizations. Through its president and other elected and/or
appointed officers it works consistently and cooperatively with its advisor, the faculty, staff, and
administration. It has permanent membership on the Student Affairs Disciplinary Board.
Administratively, the Association is a key component of the Division of Student Affairs.

The SCA’s primary purposes are derived from the MdO's Statement of Purpose, and as such,
SCA is committed to fostering an atmosphere of genuine concern and support for the rich
heritage and bright future of Montessori de Oro. Among its many purposes SCA prioritizes the
following purposes and further commits itself to: serve as the official voice of the student body;
The SCA enables students to exercise self-government through the democratic processes. It
fosters a spirit of unity, understanding, and cooperation between all student organizations. The
SCA cultivates a spirit of loyalty to MdO among the students, alumni, faculty, staff, and
administration.

Clubs
Montessori de Oro is committed to the development of the student's individual, special needs,
and talents. We offer clubs that support the academic, socio-emotional, and physical needs of the
students.
THE PRE-SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
The MdO pre-school department is a nurturing community for Beginners through Prep
students. Our atmosphere is characterized by comfort, tradition, support, intelligence, and
humor. From the homerooms to the playgrounds to the computer labs, a shared sense of the
joy and fun of childhood prevails.

THE ELEMENTARY DEPARTMENT
As one teacher describes it, the MdO Elementary department is like a big family on a mission
of learning. The elementary department is a safe haven for graders to grow and learn. It is a
place populated by teachers who thrive on the energy that fifth and sixth graders generate.

THE HIGH SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
There is no typical student at MdO. Students can be who they are and become who they were
meant to be. The High School department  gives a lot of opportunities for exploration - from
journeying into intellectual outer limits to testing the waters of team sports to leaping into the
dramatic unknown of the stage. It is a place where everyone takes risks because it is safe
enough to do so.

Our High School department emphasizes self-discipline, problem-solving, and daily
engagement with the task of learning. We encourage students to pursue their interests with
passion and to meet their obligations with enthusiasm. We value a diversity of opinion, talent,
and backgrounds. But we are united in our appreciation of hard work, individual achievement,
and intellectual ambition.
Proven to be competitive in giving quality education. Montessori de Oro strives
to challenge students in the academic arena. Projects and research work are
given to the students making sure that they are developmentally appropriate for
their level. Students are exposed with paperwork and hands on learning skills
making the MdO education unique.
