T2

Yes! like most of you , I had a long, extremely peaceful ,and quiet holy week. I went through a marathon of watching Jesus Themed movies - Jesus Christ Superstar, The Passion of the Christ , The Lost tomb of Jesus to name a few ... I really did get to know Jesus the " Bro" from watching and reading a little of the Bible's New Testament.
April 13, 2009 , I thought I'd get some sun so I went to SM CDO and decided to watch T2. T2 is Maricel Soriano's latest movie produced by Star Cinema. I've always been a fan of Maricel Soriano and I must say from the trailer to the theater I wasn't dissapointed. Maricel Soriano's acting as well as Lil Miss de la Cruz's acting is just perfect!
The story is about a woman going through a rough time in her marriage ... i could go on but I don't want to spoil your viewing pleasure ! Overall I give the movie 4 and 1/2 stars , since there were scenes that weren't necessary in the film . I thought the crawling demon inside T2 was not necessary as well as the rats , since the story is about "Engkantos or fairies".
Much as I like the Malaysian Actress ,I didn't think Carmen Soo fit the description of an Engkantada as it would have been better if the Enchantress were white, pale, mestiza . John Lloyd took a Cameo role which could've been given to anybody else . The supporting actors that made a mark were Eric Fructuoso and Derek Ramsey . I think Eric's role was more interesting and he reminded me of my driver who once in his life thought an Engkanto made him forget his way back home . hahaha! I'm serious though!
Some points that they could put in the movie which I think Direk Chito is saving for a part 2 is that when you think you are fooled by Engkantos you wear your clothes inside out so you'll find your way home. Although salt was shown to make the Engkantos go away , they didn't talk about it in the movie. Also , from what I heard Engkantos do not have this one particular feature , that we humans have in ourface. I guess its being saved for part 2 . If asked if I would watch the movie again , I'd say sure !
I must say though that the movie is for 12 year olds and up , I wouldn't bring my eight year old sister to the movie since it may give her nightmares and I will have to endure sleeping in her room every night.
So what are you waiting for Falcons! Get those tickets now , don't forget your popcorn, preferred drink, and Kfc hotshots for a wonderful movie experience !
